Its Better To Answer Your Calling, Then To Run From It!
Eld. Gaye Hallman is teaching on why it is hard to run from your calling. When God is calling you to go in one direction and you choose to go in the opposite direction. This can and will only create waves for those around you and eventually cause you to be swallowed up by your own disobedience.
Jonah-1:1-5 Now the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me. But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the Lord, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the Lord.
But the Lord sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken
God will allow a storm to shake up things around you in order to disturb your journey to let you know that you are going in the wrong direction. Sometimes he have to break up the very thing that you are using to pursue a different course then your calling.
You must repent and return back to God in Obedience and allow him to restore your path in the ways of purpose that Gods will may be done in your life and in the lives that he has called for you to reach. Go To Nineveh!
