Pastor Shon Davis was born and raised in Los Angeles & Compton California in 1966 and He is the second to the youngest of 9 siblings.
After overcoming much of the barriers of poverty and the inner city ills of gang violence and drugs. Pastor Shon was drawn in by the Love of Christ and through his grace, became born again in 1988. This began his pursuit of purpose which landed him at Aenon Bible College in Los Angeles to pursue his degree in Theology.
Pastor Shon joined and was licensed as an associate minister in the (PAW) Pentecostal Assemblies of The World in 1990. He served in the local church as the President of the Deacon’s Board, Assistant director of Outreach, Men’s ministry and Sunday School Teacher.
In 1994 he relocated from Los Angeles California to Spokane Washington and founded his own church; Jesus Is The Answer City Church in 1995. Pastor Shon founded Spokane’s first Gang Intervention/Prevention program for at-risk youth in 1995 called God’s Gym.
He was ordained into the Pastorate by the Bishop of the Pacific Northwest District Council of the PAW in 1995. He rose through the ranks as a faithful servant to be Ordained as the District Elder for Eastern Washington Region under the PNDC-PAW.
Pastor Shon was eventually led by God to become independent in 2012 and focus on serving the City of Spokane Washington through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Pastor Davis assisted the City of Spokane’s Law Enforcement in establishing Community Policing Programs such as (PAL) Police Activities League and (YPI) Youth Police Initiative. Programs geared towards building trust and legitimacy between law enforcement and the youth and citizens of color within our city.
Pastor Davis became the President of the Police & Faith Leaders Alliance in 2013. A team commissioned to being Bridge Builders around race relations and cultural changes within institutions and community.
Pastor Shon Davis was Ordained as the Overseer of “Kingdom Fellowship Church Alliance” in 2012 and eventually ordained as the Bishop of KFCA in 2016. He has been recognized as one of the founding members of the fellowship along with Pastor Alvin Moreno, Pastor Jeff Doud and Pastor Kevin Chen.
Pastor Davis has been recognized by many as more then a shepherd to his church. But as a mentor, a Elder and Father to the city. He is a preachers, preacher. A developer of gifts and a brother of consolation. He is a friend to his peers and one that is sought after for his gift of wisdom. He is committed to being that “Iron that sharpens another mans Iron”.
He has been recognized by the Mayor of the city of Spokane Washington as a man of peace and a voice of reason and was presented the Mayors “City Of Spokane, Proclamation” Seal & Certificate in 2015. Because of his activist work for peace and unity between community and law enforcement. He was one of the first African American Clergy from the city of Spokane to be invited to the White House to address the issue of 21st century policing with the Department of Justice in 2015.
Pastor Davis served as a board member of the Spokane Regional Law & Justice Council Planning Committee. Pastor Davis serves as a member of the Spokane School District Community Action Team. Pastor Davis served as a member of the Mayors Advisory Committee Multi-Cultural Affairs. Pastor Davis is the president of the Faith Leaders & Police Alliance Team. Pastor Davis is the founder of (MTY) Mentoring Todays Youth (A anti-gang intervention/prevention program), Pastor Davis is a active board member of United Way,
Pastor Davis is an active partner of a city wide Comprehensive Gang Model, which is a collaborative effort of city agencies and community focusing on Gang reduction and in creating new directions for our cities youth.
Pastor Davis is a true shepherd at heart and one who truly cares for the integrity of the church and the name of our Lord and savior being revered and upheld as the Truth that will make us Free!
