JITA Statement of Faith and Divine Mission As Appointed by God
The Mission of JITA:
(Isaiah-58:12 / Isaiah-61:1-4) We believe that God has placed his Spirit upon our ministry and have specifically Anointed us for such a time as this and have called us “Repairers of the Breach, The Restorer of Paths to Dwell In”.
Our Mission is to rebuild and restore the waste places. The hurting and wounded of many generations. To declare a pure unadulterated, uncompromising gospel, that has the power to bring liberation and salvation to those that are held captive and imprisoned to sin.
We believe in the demonstration of the Spirit and the Power of our Lord Jesus Christ through faith in his name (I Cor-2:4-5) and in a life lived that is conducive to holiness and in direct alignment with our confession of becoming saints that are called out of darkness and into his marvelous light (Eph-5:1-10).
The Culture of JITA:
The sentiments and biblical doctrines of our faith are what governs what and why we do what we do. However, Culture deals with the spirit and behavior in which we do it in. Here at JITA we have a strong convictions on making sure that our ministry is identified and embraced by our culture, Then understood by our faith. Jesus had to address two of his strongest followers because they forgot that the Culture of the ministry is the key to its growth and prosperity, regardless of its vision. The Son of man did not come to destroy mans lives. He came to save them (Luke-9:51-56). The letter (Policy) kills, But the Spirit (Culture) gives Life! (2 Cor-3:6)
We at JITA are intentional in making sure that everyone feels welcomed and treated with respect and dignity regardless of race, ethnicity, culture or ones past or previous chapter of their life. For we believe that your experience at JITA will cause a page to turn in your life that God will close one chapter and introduce you into another. Our focus is on advancing the Kingdom of God rather then individualism or denominationalism. We believe that the Body of Christ is made up of many members yet being one body (1 Cor-12:12:14). Relying upon the unification and collaboration of the members to work in harmony one with another in order for the physical body to function properly and grow. So it is in Gods body the Church.
Therefore, it is the culture of JITA to collaborate with and work in harmony with our fellow Pastors and Ministries who are like minded in the faith and are committed to the Kingdom Mindset of City Ministry. JITA is committed to working in harmony with our community and government through social and religious programs that will improve the quality of life of adults and youth in our city, while strengthen the institution of the family. The ministry of JITA is called to be an agent of peace while standing for righteousness and equality for all mankind.
What We Believe:
We believe in God as the creator of all things. We believe that he is self existence in that before him that was no other god nor any other in creation. We believe that God is a Spirit. We believe he is Omnipotent having all power and Omniscient in having all knowledge. We believe he is supreme and superior of all others.
We believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God made flesh for the purpose of redemption. We believe that Jesus is the expressed image of God. We believe that God chose to take on the form of servant and conceived himself through a virgin in order to give himself as a living sacrifice and atonement for mans sin, for without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin. We believe that Jesus is the Word of God. The Logos. The embodiment of Gods expressed word. He is the Word made flesh. He is Emmanuel, God with us.
We believe in the baptism and infilling of his Spirit. We believe that their is evidence of his presence in our hearts by the fruits of the spirit as well as through speaking in other tongues as the spirit gives the utterance. We believe that the Spirit empowers us to live a life of holiness as well as convicts us of sin and guides us in all truth and righteousness.
We believe in the Born Again commission of Jesus on words as requirements for salvation and preparation for his kingdom. Jesus said except a man is born of the water and of the spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, we believe in water and spirit baptism. We believe that Repentance needs to precede both water and spirit baptism for it is with the heart that true sorrow and confessions are made. We believe in water baptism by immersion in Jesus name. We believe that the scriptures command us to baptize in the name of Jesus Christ, that in word and deed he said do all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe in living a holy and sanctified life set apart from anything that would bring a reproach against the church as well as our personal salvation before the coming of the Lord Jesus.
We believe in the rapture of the church as the second appearing of the Lord to redeem his bride from the earth and forever shall we be with the Lord.
We believe in the final judgement of end time prophecy and the destruction of this present earth and all those that chose not to receive him and confess him as Lord of Lords and King of Kings. We believe there will be a new heaven and a new earth and that we shall reign with him forever as kings and priest in eternity, where there will be no more death, nor sorrow. For we shall live with him throughout eternity forever and ever amen.
